While it's nice to be home, I don't think I'll be getting much of a rest in the next couple of days. There were about three owls waiting and two more arrived while I was reading the first lot, all with jobs to be done. The last advertising push before the stores close for Christmas, I suppose. Still, at least being so busy earns me extra pocket money.

And my Christmas shopping is almost complete. Just three more gifts to get. I'll be sending gifts out in the next couple of days (when I get the chance) so keep an eye out for them.

Just found out that both my parents will be attending the opening night of the play this weekend. I expected Dad to come, but Mum - considering she lives in Japan - was unexpected. Apparently she had a business trip planned and had time to make a 'detour'. Hopefully they won't be seated together. I'm torn between glad and wishing they'd stay away

Hard to believe it's December tomorrow, this year has flown by.

I'm disappointed Hufflepuff didn't win of course, but congratulations to Noah and his team.

So cold out there, it's a good thing the match didn't last longer or people's skin would have started matching their hair - warming spells or not. Even doing the cheering didn't warm me up completely.

Oh, and those with blue hair? Don't try to charm it back, I tried and now I have white hair again.

Poetry is a much better thing to see pasted around school than gossip.

I considered signing up for the journalism job shadowing, for about five minutes, but decided not too since I'd only be doing it to have a field trip, not to mention I'm not actually interested in being a journalist. Besides which it'll be weird meeting up with anyone who might have written about me or photographed me Have fun those who are going!

As some of you may know, it's Nikki's birthday on 17 November and I need help getting her present to her. This sounds a bit weird, but it's a present in pieces and I want her to receive a piece throughout the day until she meets up with me and I give her the final bit. So if you girls wouldn't mind, can I entrust a piece to each of you to give to her at various points during the day?

The privacy concerns being raised in regard to giving the DMLE easier access to the transportation/floo records are valid ones. I remember Dad telling me about the time muggle immigration officials introduced stricter conditions in the airports with fingerprints and photos of passengers, and how many people felt nervous/upset about that. I just hope this new proposal is dealt with carefully.

Have some people been inhaling helium? Because I noticed some voices are higher pitched than usual.

The new club seems like a good idea, for both new students and old. Although I think that more than just the Muggle Studies students should join, there are a few people who might benefit from learning that Muggles aren't that scary.
